Idyllic Delivery
On a near perfect day, we welcomed some newbies and a friend from a couple years ago! Emma, Pranav, and Kaushik were inducted into the crew and all picked it up quickly and were great company. In addition, Anja is back in the Bay Area and so glad she was able to join us.
We embarked on our one-way trip to Richmond for some much needed boat work. Along the way we had some amazing sailing near Alcatraz and through Raccoon Straight then anchored in China Cove off Angel Island for lunch and relaxation in the sunshine.
We picked up and headed for Richmond with the wind at our backs. We got a bit daring and decided to pull out the Asymmetric Spinnaker (Gennaker) even though the winds were in the 15 knot range. Unfortuantely the wind and the sail would not cooperate so after a few tries we pulled it down (and up out of the water…)
The rest of the way was uneventful, which was good because by that time everyone was a bit spent. Thanks again everyone for being a great and fun crew!
